Questions & Answers
Does the Cordmate II need to be primed before paint?
Even though primer is not a necessary element when painting plastic or steel raceways, better results are achieved when using it.
To paint a plastic raceway, it is not necessary to sand before painting. Just apply the primer and then paint using only latex-based paint.

How do you open the channel
Hello,
Please reference the Article link below from our website.
I'd also like to add that a second flat head screwdriver may also help once you get the cover partially open using the first screwdriver.

This kit was super easy to use. We purchased the cordmate c100/c110 in black and need one more flat elbow. Are we able to purchase additional connectors?
Hi Lisa,
We appreciate the feedback! The C100/C110 kits are available in the white finish only. We do offer a C210BK and C310BK (larger) cord cover kits which are available in a black finish. If those might be the ones you have instead then you can reach out to us directly at 1-844-957-3783, option 2 for Wiremold, followed by option 2 again for tech support for assistance with replacement parts. You can also email us with pictures to help identify what you might have at technical.support@legrand.us. Thank you.

I've got several of these in my home, adhered to semi gloss trim and to flat painted walls. All of them have let loose. Do you make anything that could help nail these up instead of using adhesive?
Hello Jeremy,
Overall product width measures 1/2" and the cover is very rigid which would make it difficult to open the cover in order to fasten screws through the base.
We'd like to discuss alternate options with you direct. Please call us at your earliest convenience. We can be reached at 1-844-957-3783. From the main menu select option 2 for Wiremold followed by option 2 for Technical Support. Our office hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday thru Friday.
We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi. There's an L cap for corners, but is there a T cap for a junction?
A specific tee fitting is not available for this particular series.

Can you use CordMate at a worksite to conceal a TV cord? Is it not a violation of the NEC's requirement that you not attach flexible cords to building surfaces once you stick it to the building with the cord inside?
The use of the C100 CordMate product to cover a TV cord attached to the wall would be at the discretion of the local AHJ. The CordMate product is a cord cover. The use of cord covers is not addressed in the NEC or CEC. The NEC states that flexible cable is not to be attached to building surfaces, but does not address the permanency of the "attachment".

Is there a way to remove the adhesive to reposition the cordmate product without damage to the wall?
The adhesive provided on the Cordmate as well as our other Raceways strongly bonds to the wall. This is very desirable for most applications. However, in some
cases it probably isn't because if you try to remove the Cordmate from the wall after it sticks it is likely to cause some damage. It will leave behind a residue which
will be difficult to clean and could pull some of the surface off of the drywall with it as it comes off.
The following methods can be used to remove the product and adhesive from the wall;
1) Using a spray bottle, spray vinegar directly where the adhesive is adhered to the wall. Let the vinegar soak in to the adhesive for a period of time. The vinegar will
help deteriorate the adhesive. A putty knife can be used to pry the product/adhesive away from the wall surface.
2) Use a citrus based adhesive remover from a local hardware store. Follow the instructions on the bottle.
