Lovely
The 4-way switch, which only comes in the 20A version, looks as beautiful and as streamlined as the other Adorne paddle switches. I found that the rocker motion was a bit stiffer than the standard 3-way 15A paddle switches. I should have consulted my electrician before purchasing since I did not understand what equipment was required for a light circuit with 3 switches (two switches with 2 or 3 poles and one with 4 poles). A per the instructions, a deep junction box is helpful if not required for installation. This product was near impossible to find in stores.

Wiring instructions are wrong, needs to be correct
In order for this switch to work properly, don’t pay attention to instructions or labeling of IN and OUT on switch itself. Just connect 2 wires from one 3 way switch to BLACK connectors and 2 wires from second 3 way switch to GOLD connectors. Should work as intended providing the 2 wires from both 3 way switches were not mixed up and identified correctly.

4 way paddle switch-Time to update?
I presently have mostly sofTap Adorne switches (soft touch), several push switches due to old wiring as well as multiple wi-fi sofTap switches. I do have 2 4-way switches which are unfortunately paddle switches. I have asked repeated for this to be updated to either a 4-way push switch or sofTap switch which would then be matching all of the other switches that I have. I have called to Legrand but so far no one knows if and when this will be remedied. Maybe this review will help speed this along. The paddle switch is effective and works but it does not fit in with the rest of the decor. It is time for Legrand to correct this cosmetic issue!

I have a light controlled by four separate switches. Do I need one four-way switch and three standard switches or four four-ways?
No, you need 2 Thee-Way, and 2 four way.
120V -- 3-way -- 4-way -- 4-way -- 3-way -- light.
Always put 3-ways at end an as many 4-ways as you need between.

The 4way Paddle switch will be back in stock the first week in August 2020.

My set up in a 3 storey stairwell : 1 light 1 switch 1st floor, 2 lights 2 switches 2nd floor, and 1 light 1 switch 3rd floor. Any switch can operate all the lights. My current switches are 15a. Which of your switches can accommodate my set up?
I have a similar setup in my home. You need (1) 4-way switch and (2) single pole/3-way switches for this light circuit. Legrand only offers the 4-way switch as a 20A paddle switch. It is OK to install 20A switches on a 15A circuit. I recommend deep junction boxes since the Adorne switches take up more space in the junction box than old-fashioned switches. It may not be possible to fit the wiring into a standard depth junction box. I found that the rocker motion was a bit stiffer than the standard 3-way 15A paddle switches, but I got used to it.

I have a light that is controlled by two switches, that are located on different sides of the room. I thought what I needed was a two-way switch, but all I am seeing available is this four-way. Will that work?
You can have your electrician wire the 4-way in a moderately special way, so it would work. Basically, the 2-way just comes out of the box for what you need. I’d honestly just try and get the 2-way, to be on the safe side.
