The perfect touch!
These locator lights make it easy to find Adorne switches in the dark, yet are subtle and elegant looking. They are easy to install as well. I'm not sure why the switches don't come pre-lit, but if this is the look you want, at least they aren't too expensive relative to the cost of an Adorne switch.

Questions & Answers
I wired up a locator light for a 1-pole operated ceiling fan. Wired to 1-pole and 3-way per the instructions. The light will come in very weak and then fade out. I’ve wired other 1-pole switches the same with no issue. Is there a way to resolve this?
Hello,
Please wire the locator light leads as follows:
-1 lead to hot
-1 lead to neutral
This wiring method will always leave the locator on in your specific application due to being connected to a ceiling fan.
Best Regards,
Justin

Yesterday I installed a standard paddle switch and installed the locator light - which I tested to be sure it was lighting, and it is not visible through the switch when installed. Is there some way to test the switch light transmission and remedy this?

Is there a way wire the locator light (single-pole/single switch configuration) so locator light is ON when light is on? I have a closet with switch on outside and light gets left on at times. Seeing locator light on would be a reminder that it is on.
To wire the Locator Light as a Pilot Light(lit when on), you need to connect one of it's leads to the 1pole terminal and one to a separate Neutral wire.

How to hook up 4 way
When installing the Locator Status Light in a 4way Paddle switch, the two leads are connected to either both IN terminals or both OUT terminals....see attached

I notice that when I add a paddle switch and the gang plate along with the AALSL6 | adorne, that the paddle becomes really spongy and you don't hear the click and sometimes not even see the light...how do I make sure the AALSL6 | adorne is seated correctl
The light IS inserted too far. It's not impossible to do as I spent an hour swapping switches thinking one was faulty everytime I put in the locator. In fact the instructions or the locator light are faulty - they don't give the right info or the stick is actually too long. If you push the light-stick all the way in so the "bezel" of the light is touching the back of the switch housing (as you would expect to do) the light somehow touches something in the paddle switch and gets in the way so that the switch loses it's "CLICK" when turned on/off. Once the stick is backed out 1/8" or so the switch-click will come back. Hopefully the instructions for this product or the design will be revised - seems like it wasn't ever tested. PS - It's really really a nice feature, and well worth the couple bucks extra, just needs the kinks worked out.

The locator lights are dim in some of the switches I installed. What am I doing wrong?
The Brightness of the locator light can vary slightly based on the load being controlled. Feel free to contact tech support at 1800 223 4185 Option 1
