What features help contractors install Legrand's watertight Pin & Sleeve devices?
Our PS Series has a hinged cord grip that reduces loose parts while our LE series comes with the cord grip or integral NPT fitting and can be changed out in the field.
How do Legrand's Pin & Sleeve devices protect against moisture and corrosion?
Legrand offers two configurations: splashproof devices rated IP44 and watertight devices rated IP67. Nylon construction resists impact and corrosion, while nickel-plated brass pins provide corrosion protection and electrical conductivity. Select the configuration suited to your application and follow the device’s assembly instructions to maintain its specified protection.
What is the LE Series, and how does it differ within Legrand's Pin & Sleeve offering?
The 30A, 60A and 100A LE Series provides additional conductor-entry options for applications including data centers, server farms, OEM equipment and temporary power. Available versions accommodate cord-grip fittings or NPT fittings for conduit and wire mesh grips, giving contractors and equipment manufacturers more ways to configure the cable entry.

Does Legrand offer mechanical interlocks for Pin & Sleeve connections?
Yes. Legrand offers fusible and non-fusible mechanical interlock products for Pin & Sleeve applications. Select the assembly according to the required amperage, voltage and mating configuration, and follow its installation and operating instructions.
Turnlok®
What ratings and configurations are available in Legrand's Turnlok line?
Turnlok options include 15A, 20A, 30A and 50A devices. The portfolio includes multiple NEMA configurations, plus California-style and corrosion-resistant 50A products. Match the complete electrical configuration when selecting a plug, connector or receptacle.
What installation features do Legrand's industrial Turnlok devices provide?
Select industrial Turnlok models feature quick-thread assembly screws and cord-grip screws supplied backed out for wiring. Visible configuration markings help identify the device, while raised ribs and scalloped gripping surfaces assist insertion, locking and removal.
How do Turnlok devices help keep cords secure?
Select models combine an external cord grip with a double-dovetail design to resist cord pull-out forces. The external grip makes cord retention visible for inspection. The locking mating interface separately helps resist unintended separation between the plug and connector or receptacle. These devices can also be paired with our Flexcor wire mesh cable grips for additional cable protection.[AE4.1]
What distinguishes Legrand's 50A Turnlok plugs and connectors?
The 50A line features a push, twist and lock body assembly designed to simplify assembly in temporary power applications. Available products include California-style configurations and corrosion-resistant versions. This body-assembly feature is separate from the locking action used to connect the plug to its mating device.
Does Legrand offer Turnlok devices for wet environments?
Yes. Designated watertight Turnlok plugs and connectors use a multipoint sealing system and carry published NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6 and 6P and IP67 ratings. Select from the watertight line when the application requires these protections. They do not apply to every Turnlok model.
Straight Blade
Which Legrand Straight Blade product lines are available for commercial and industrial applications?
Legrand offers Extra-Hard Use Specification Grade and Heavy-Duty MaxGrip M3 plugs and connectors. These lines include 15A and 20A, 125V and 250V configurations, providing options for different equipment and jobsite requirements.
What features simplify wiring of Legrand's Extra-Hard Use Straight Blade devices?
Models such as the PS52266X arrive ready to wire, with all three terminals positioned on the same plane for easier access. Tri-drive assembly screws accommodate common driver types, and recessed cord-grip screws help reduce screwdriver slippage during installation.
What construction features support durability in Legrand's Extra-Hard Use devices?
The PS5266X combines an impact- and chemical-resistant nylon housing with brass alloy blades, a two-piece cord grip and an internal dust shield. These features support conductivity, cord retention and protection of the terminal area in demanding applications.
What conductor sizes and cord diameters can Legrand's Straight Blade devices accept?
Wire and cord accommodation varies by model. Our PS5266X accepts 18–10 AWG conductors and cord diameters from 0.230 to 0.720 inches. Check your selected device’s specifications to confirm that both the conductor size and cord diameter fall within its supported ranges.
Are Legrand's Extra-Hard Use Straight Blade plugs suitable for wet locations?
Extra-Hard Use construction does not automatically provide a water-protection rating. For example, the PS5266X does not carry an IP or weatherproof rating. Legrand offers separate watertight Straight Blade products for applications requiring specified protection against water exposure.
Waterproof/Watertight
Which watertight plug and connector configurations does Legrand offer?
