Vantage LHUMAN Human Centric Lighting Solution Named Lighting Product of the Year by CTA

Vantage LHUMAN Human Centric Lighting Solution Integrates Precise Lighting Control With Motorized Window Shading and Color-Tunable Lighting Fixtures

CARLSBAD, Calif. — Jan. 7, 2022 — Legrand’s Building Control Systems division today announced that its Vantage brand has won a Consumer Technology Association (CTA)® 2022 Smart Home Division Mark of Excellence Award for its LHUMAN Human Centric Lighting (HCL) Solution. Earning CTA’s Lighting Product of Year award, LHUMAN integrates precise lighting control with motorized window shading and color-tunable lighting fixtures to enhance the aesthetics of any home while delivering natural light to improve the occupant experience.

“Take a look around, and you will see that light has become a pivotal factor in transforming the home experience, from working from home to entertainment and rest,” said Charlie Derk, director of product marketing, shading, and residential controls, Legrand North America. “This award is a great acknowledgement of the incredible engineering and development that has gone into creating a smart, adaptable solution that’s as versatile and dynamic as the wide range of environments and moods lighting creates.”

At the heart of LHUMAN is Vantage lighting control, which provides full color control and dimming of a wide range of tunable lighting fixtures from Vantage’s manufacturer partners. Homeowners can let LHUMAN do the work for them — automatically adjusting their home’s light throughout the day, fully synchronized to the natural daylight from the sun — while easily making changes on the fly with preset scenes that deliver the appropriate color temperature and intensity to meet their current activity, need, or mood. All it takes is the touch of a button on a sleek Vantage touch screen or modular keypad. To fully harness the power of natural lighting, LHUMAN integrates motorized window shades with Vantage lighting control, allowing users to effortlessly open their homes to bright, sunny days. Shades can be programmed to automatically raise and lower at any time of the day, incorporated with lighting in preset scenes or manually controlled using Vantage touch screens or keypads.

By incorporating lighting controls, motorized shading, and color-tunable light fixtures into one solution, LHUMAN makes it easier than ever for integrators to deliver the benefits of HCL to their customers. Programming LHUMAN is simple using the latest version of Vantage’s programming software, Design Center 4.2. Now available for download, the software’s key features consist of new color load types, including warm/cool and warm/white/cool; new tunable profiles for fixture color loads; single-digit CCT value input; and enhanced security improvements. Furthermore, by partnering with leading light fixture manufacturers — including AiSPiRE, LF Illumination, Environmental Lights, and Proluxe by American Lighting — LHUMAN can offer the widest selection of HCL and color-tunable fixtures to fit any project’s needs. These alliances make it easier for integrators to bring their clients dynamic lighting with elegant aesthetics and advanced functionality.
