Questions & Answers

Can the receptacles be replaced in the field if they fail?

Asked by: Jeff
Good Afternoon- We do not recommend that electricians replace receptacles in the field. The ends of each wire is sealed to prevent air from escaping from the receptacle compartment in the event that the ground box is submerged in water for a prolonged duration of time. Each of these wires are tested after the assembly is complete. If they are replaced in the field, the seal on the wire may be damaged. We recommend replacing the full cover assembly.
