Can Wiremold 4000 be painted with regular water based paint? If not, is it because the paint compromises the integrity of components being properly bonded to base, ie cover to base?

Hello Gerry, Thank you for your inquiry. To paint 4000 steel raceway we recommend sanding the surface lightly with 180-grit fine sandpaper. Next, wipe the raceway clean and apply primer on the surface. Lastly, paint the raceway using only oil based enamel paint which will adhere the best.
