Neat Idea, Nice lines
Once it was installed I really liked the look of the pop out outlet. THe installation was a tad trickier than the usual standard outlet which is to be expected but I youtubed it and got through it without an electrician. The lines of the outlet and cover are great and the pop out seemes to work well. My only critique is that my different sized plugs don't all work with it. I needed to plug in an extension cord to run a shop vac where a leak had happened and it didn't pop out far enough to accomodate.

A Win-Win: Sophisticated Design and Three Plugs
The Pop-Out outlet provides a modern addition to your walls, avoiding those unsightly traditional outlets. The outlet features an additional plug (three total) over traditional outlets and with the simple push before/after use, the outlet pops-out/disappears into the wall. Thus far, we have had no issues and look forward to installing more throughout the house. We have this outlet at the far side of our kitchen where we keep/charge our electronics and smarthome base. Previously, we were maxxed out on the plugs in the outlet, and now we have an additional plug that we have been using. I wonder how we ever functioned without a third plug.
Installation time was minimal, about 10 minutes, which is typical of an outlet change. Prior to install, make sure you have a deep electrical box so you can properly fit the outlet and its wires. One word of caution: the outlet is only meant for indoor wall surfaces, so if you are hoping to install on a horizontal work surface, look elsewhere. Also, for those who want your outlet childproofed, I would look elsewhere if you plan to install these below counter height, as there does not appear to be a way to childproof this outlet. As my (past childproof age) children are fascinated by this outlet, I imagine little kids would be even more fascinated by the popping action.
I do not believe you can go wrong installing these outlets in your home. They will supply an additional plug at every outlet, as well as provide an updated and stylish complement to any room they adorn.

Fantastic Look and Functionality
I bought two of these outlets to be installed on my kitchen island and they became a decoration element. It perfectly complement our contemporary, clean style and it is great to see them “disappear” when not in use. Installation is a breeze. It is a bit pricey, but for those concerned about look and style, without sacrificing functionality is a must.

Finally! An outlet with style and versatility!
I love clean lines and nothing irritates me more than trying to "cover up" electrical outlets that are not in use. I also dislike plugs that stick out of outlets an inch or so. Furniture cannot be put up against the wall without making room for the bulky plugs. I've been buying flat plug extension cords but then I have the long cords to deal with.
I love the Pop-Out Outlet! The installation was simple and the simplistic style fits in so well with backsplashes and walls. When needed,, simple push the square in the middle of the plate and the outlets "pop" out. No need to lose any more room to accommodate the plugs and cords that are plugged into normal outlets, other than the space required for the popped out outlet.
Can't wait to install more throughout the house!

Love how useful this product is. The pop-out outlet allows you to plug 3 cords into this outlet, but best of all, when nothing is plugged in, the pushed in outlet presents a clean, sophisticated look. Great for use in bathrooms and kitchens and other places where frequently un-used outlets are the rule rather than the exception.

Pop Out Outlet Really Pops
Very nice product. Spring mechanism is strong, and my wife and I really like the Legrand aesthetic, as we do with all Legrand products. They may be expensive, but the square look with contemporary colors and screwless face plates is well worth it.

Sleek, durable and modern pop up countertop outlet
Countertop pop up outlet. We purchased this model due to the sleek look and durability. The pop up outlet is easy to push and release and is less clunky than other types of concealed outlets. One downside is that it doesn’t have a USB c or USB outlet, but the design and other benefits outweighed that miss.

Great product, sometimes tricky installation.
Sleek, stylish and practical. Love these outlets, but fair warning; if your electrical boxes are a mess....it may be difficult to squeeze these inside. Be prepared to clean up any crazy wiring that has been done and ensure proper clearance for them to fit.

Hidden wall plug! Love it!
I received the Pop-OutOutlet15A 1gang in white for an honest review from #Tryitsampling. This wall plug is awesome. It hides in the wall till you need it, then just push it and it pops out. Totally cool! I dont leave things plugged in because I like it in the wall. Helps me to remember to unplug everything.

The Pop-Out Outlet is a great product and great idea. It sits flush against the wall and works great! It's nice for a place to charge your cell phone or plug in a laptop. Another great thing about the Pop-Out Outlet is that there are no exposed sockets for small children to be attracted to.

LOVE everything about it!
This outlet is so functional and stylish. I love the clean minimal look when it is flush. It really de-clutters and modernizes the look of a space. Plus the added functionality of having a 3rd outlet is huge! I wish I could swap out every outlet in my house with these. The only thing I would suggest to improve it is to make it a GFCI outlet...at first I thought this wouldn't work in a kitchen or bathroom because of that, but I recently found out that you only need at least 1 GFCI outlet on any given circuit, so I was happy to be able to install it in my bathroom! Now it looks great when not in use, but my wife can still plug in her hair dryer and curling iron while I am charging my electric toothbrush or electric razor.

Can this pop-out be used with the 2 Gang Decorator/Rocker Wall Plate, Mirror White? Model # AWM2GMW4?
You would need to get the 2 Gang Popout(ARPTR152GW2) which will come with the required mounting frame that is need for the 2 gang application. Then you would be able to use the AWM2GMW4 wall plate to complete the installation.

Prior to ordering, I'm concerned chargers like for Apple laptops will not fit. Those bricks are larger rectangles, and it doesn't seem like there is a lot of room. It seems like the prong holes could have been rotated 90 degrees? Or am I wrong?
The Popout receptacle can only be rotated so the blank is on the left or right side.

Can the pop up outlet be ordered as a GFI? Can the face of the pop up be painted? I have a client who wants the face of the pop up to more closely match your stainless steel screwless coverplate
The Popout is not available as a GFCI but can be installed downstream from an existing GFCI or on a GFCI breaker.
We do not advise on painting any of our receptacles.

How do you fix a Popout outlet that will not stay pushed in?
You can try adjusting the mounting frames screws to make sure they are secure. If that does not correct it, contact Technical Support and they can assist with a warranty replacement.

I cannot figure out how to install the pop up outlet. I ordered a couple of GFI outlets as well as regular duplex outlets. All installed fine. The popup outlet is slightly larger and does not fit in the metal frame that screws onto the outlet box. HELP
The Popout outlet has it's own mounting frame and it should be included in the box. It will not fit into the frames that are included with the wallplates. If you are missing the Popout frame, contact Technical Support and they can assist you with obtaining what you need.

Can I install a pop-out plug with a half width USB port? Do you have double USB ports? Not double width, but two ports in a half-width configuration.
The only way to have a Popout receptacle and USB's together would be using the 2 Gang Popout and installing them in a 2 gang box.

What size electrical box does the PopUp outlet require? The specifications state 22.5 cubic inches, but what is the exact length, width, and depth of the required box? My local electrical code requires a metal (not plastic) box. Does a metal box exist?
The Pop Out outlet requires use of a deep box. The dimensions are: 3.75" L x 2.25" W x 3.375" D.

Hello! Can I install a single 2-gang pop-out outlet in a one-gang plate? I see that in your demo video that is possible, but on the product page, you pair the 2-gang popout outlet with the 2-gang plate. Please explain.
The Popout Outlets come with the special frame that is needed for installation so if you have a 1 gang Popout frame, then yes the 2 Gang Popout outlet will work. It will not work the frame that comes with a 1 Gang wallplate.

I want to install a pop-out with a 1-gang wall plate. Can I choose to orient the wall plate as either portrait (tall) or landscape (wide)? Or is it only possible to have portrait orientation? Or, does it depend on the orientation of the box behind?
The Popout outlet can function either in portrait or landscape orientation but it will depend on the position of the electrical box. Keep in mind that if you do mount it horizontal, when you apply the adorne wallplate, the Legrand stamp on the face will be out of place because it is designed for vertical installation.

The Popout receptacle is UL listed for wall mount only because of the possibility of moisture or liquid getting into the electrical device.

How is this child proof if you just push/tap to have it pop out to use?
The Popout outlet, as well as all of the adorne receptacles contain a tamper-resistant built-in shutter system that allows plugs to be inserted when equal pressure is applied simultaneously to both sides of the receptacle.
Tamper-resistant outlets reduce the risk of electrical injuries.

We do have the pop-out outlet with GFCI. You can feed the pop-out outlet with a GFCI and it will protect it.

Can the pop out outlet one installed without the wall plate?
It certainly can, but the outlet uses a standard size mounting frame behind the wall plate. If you are trying to just leave the square pop-out part exposed that would be tough.
