Will this switch work for a fan with a DC motor that is controlled by an included remote. I would like to operate the fan without a remote and only with the wall switch.

Is this fan control compatible with the Ried 56-Inch Ceiling Fan?

Can this be used to turn on/ off a light and control the fan.
This is designed for fan control only. The LSCLDC163PW would handle both, your fan and your light.
