Legrand, the global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures, features the Nuvo P400 at CEDIA, its first tabletop speaker for Nuvo Player Portfolio, the company’s whole home audio system designed by audiophiles for installation by professionals. The sleek Wi-Fi-enabled speaker provides pure, clean sound and instant access to content from network-connected devices and a wide variety of streaming sources.

The P400 is a 2.1 speaker system based on a five-driver design: one 5.25-inch woofer, two midrange drivers and two tweeters. A built-in digital amp powers the high fidelity stereo system from a single compact, attractive enclosure. The P400 supports streaming services including Spotify, Pandora, iHeartRadio, TuneIn, Napster, SiriusXM and Deezer.

The new model offers easy access to music via the touch-sensitive, back-lit LED controls provided on its top panel. As part of the Player Portfolio system, the P400 is compatible with in-wall Nuvo Player keypads and the Nuvo Player app for iOS and Android devices. It can also be integrated into third-party control platforms including Control4, Crestron, KNX, URC, RTI and more.

“The Nuvo P400 makes our Player Portfolio system a more well-rounded and competitive offering for installers to offer their customers interested in multi-room audio,” said Desirée Webster, Senior Marketing Communications Manager, Legrand. “This answers calls we’ve heard from integrators to introduce a standalone player and speaker option that facilitates flexible placement in rooms where space and installation options are otherwise limited.”

The P400 can be connected to a wired network via Ethernet or wireless router (802.11 a,b,g,n, 2.4GHz or 5GHz), enabling it to be mixed and matched with any combination of wired or wireless single-zone, three-zone rack-mounted or sound bar Player Portfolio components for a complete whole home audio solution. It also offers an analog line input for connecting an in-room audio source for playback.

The speaker Integrates with the Domotz PRO remote network management platform for an improved dealer experience in troubleshooting and support scenarios.

The Nuvo P400 speaker has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $599.99.
