WattStopper announces four 2012 sessions to train electrical distributor controls specialists
SANTA CLARA, CA February 2012 - WattStopper is pleased to announce the 2012 schedule for its NAEDaccredited program, "Training for Electrical Distributor Controls Specialists." The company will host four day-and-a-half training sessions during the coming year at WattStopper and Legrand facilities around the country.
The training curriculum includes a hard hitting review of market evolutions, codes, technology, products and sales tools, as well as hands on installation and programming practice. Developed for electrical distributors, the program is accredited by the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED), and controls specialists who complete the course are eligible for continuing education credits (CEUs).
Conducted by WattStopper sales leaders, the course gives students practical solutions for solving the real world controls problems experienced by professionals who specify and sell lighting controls every day. Trainers mix hands-on wiring, take-offs and other activities to keep the training interesting while covering the extensive course material. The goal is to send attendees back to their offices with an advanced overall understanding of lighting controls. These graduates quickly become recognized specialists within their organizations, ready to drive sales of energy efficient control products.
Each session begins with a welcome event on a Tuesday evening before the first training date, and concludes on Thursday in time for attendees to catch departing flights. The 2012 schedule follows:
• March 14-15, WattStopper Training Center, Birmingham, Alabama
• April 18-19, WattStopper Training Center, Plano, Texas
• June 13-14, WattStopper HQ and Training Center, Santa Clara, California
• August 8-9, Legrand North America HQ, West Hartford, Connecticut
