Questions & Answers

The manual explains how to set up to 8 program on/off schedules, but NOT how to actually select one of those schedules. I have completed the laborious process of entering the schedules, now HOW DO I SELECT A SCHEDULE THAT HAS BEEN PROGRAMED??

Asked by: Elmo
The RT-200-W does not require you to manually "select" or "activate" a specific program after you have finished entering the settings. The device is designed to automatically run all schedules that have active Day(s) assigned to them. On the RT-200, a schedule is considered "active" as soon as it is assigned to any day of the week (e.g., Mon-Fri, Weekends, or All). If you have programmed multiple schedules, the unit will simply execute each one as the scheduled time occurs for the current day. If you want to prevent a specific program from running without deleting your laborious settings, you must change its Day(s) setting to None. This deactivates that particular program while keeping the times saved in memory for future use. If the display shows MANUAL instead of PROG, it means the button was pressed manually to override the current state. The device will stay in manual mode for its default countdown period (usually 2 hours) or until the next scheduled event occurs, at which point it will automatically return to its programmed schedule.

Is this device dimmable? If not, do you offer a comparable astronomical time switch that is?

Asked by: Blake
The RT-200-W is not a dimmable device; it functions strictly as a time switch and does not provide any load dimming capability. At this time, there is no single Wattstopper product that combines astronomical scheduling with integrated dimming in one unit. To achieve both automated scheduling and dimming control, a multi-component solution would be required. For a solution that fits your specific application and lighting setup, it would be best to review the requirements in more detail. A direct discussion with Wattstopper Technical Support can help identify the appropriate combination of devices to meet both scheduling and dimming needs.

Brand new RT-200W.  After power cycle, time resets to 12AM.  However, date and programs remain in memory.  Is this unit faulty?

Asked by: Mike
So I noticed that once the program executed that evening the time was retained after a power cycle.   Seems like a minor firmware bug.

How can I program it so the switch never turns off?

Asked by: JSO
To ensure the RT-200 switch remains on continuously, you’ll need to perform a factory reset to remove any existing schedules. This will reset the date, time, location, and all programmed settings. Once reset, the switch will no longer automatically turn lights on or off—you will have manual push-button control only.

Does this work with LED lights?

Asked by: Rick
Yes, the RT-200 is compatible with LED lighting loads. It is designed to support a wide range of lighting technologies, including LED, incandescent, and fluorescent. However, for optimal performance, ensure that the total LED load does not exceed the device’s rated capacity.

How do I turn off the timer function and just have it operate as a regular light switch?  The instructions don’t say how to do that.

Asked by: Karen
Performing a reset will achieve what you're looking for. The RT-200 has a reset button located under the ON/OFF button. Press and release the reset button. The display will reset so that the Legrand logo appears as it does upon initial power-up. At this point, the date, time, location, and programs will have been reset.

I have programmed the switch for timed on and off (program 1), yet the screen continues to read manual even after 24 hours. Am I missing something?

Asked by: Vijay
The RT-200 will stay in MANUAL mode until the next scheduled event occurs. If this is not the behavior you are witnessing, please contact Wattstopper Technical Support @ 800-879-8585 for troubleshooting assistance.
