QMotion delivers a more simple and sophisticated automated shade that offers both ease of use and dependability. Choose from shades in a wide range of colors and styles, with a bevy of options. All automated roller shades can be controlled via remote, smart phone or tablet, or with our exclusive manual override feature, which does not strip the motor, unlike traditional roller shades. Battery powered QMotion shades offer the same benefits as low voltage powered, and add the ability to install in difficult situations as well as function in the absence of electrical supply. Because QMotion battery powered shades use an internal battery pack, there are no visible battery packs or wires to hide.

Questions & Answers
how do you change batteries?
It's kind of a nightmare. You have to uncover the top of the shade (taking off any wooden slats, guardrails, etc., that have been put over it). If the battery is dead you have to unroll the shade all the way by hand, until the batteries are exposed at the top. Then you have to get up on a ladder, ideally getting your arms above the height of the bar, and use a screwdriver to coax all the batteries out of their case with tiny repeated 1/2-inch stabs at them. Then you can put the batteries back in and close it back up.

We outfitted our home with battery-powered QMotion shades in 2014. Is it possible to retrofit these shades with hardwired power mechanisms?
Hi Sipea!
It is possible that these could be retrofitted with hardwired motors. Wires would need to be run to each shade location.
For more details I recommend contacting a local dealer to pursue this option. You can find a list of dealers by using our "Where to Buy" feature. By using the link below and selecting the following options you can find a list near you!
