- One consistent design: Mix-and-match Resource RFBA Series Floor Boxes of any size with interchangeable components. Makes every project installation quick and efficient.
- Universal sized conduit feed: Meets all requirements for each box. 2- and 4-gang shallow boxes accept a 1”” conduit feed, while all standard boxes accept a 2”” conduit feed.
- Improved wire and cable routing: Allows for easier wire pulling in adjacent compartments and around corners, reducing the overall cost for most cabling requirements.
- Two finishes: Every box configuration is available in either a standard zinc-plated construction or a lightweight ““slab-on-grade”” finish with fusion-bonded epoxy corrosion resistant paint.

Nightmare to wire and if installed on job that has heavy lift traffic and sits around awhile the temp covers and screw holes get destroyed

Questions & Answers
For carpet or tile on the 4 gang. Do we pour concrete to the top of can or top of 1/2" included collar? We will be most likely using the FPBTC trim
Hello,
Thank you for your inquiry. When installing carpet or tile, the concrete can either be poured to the top of the 1/2" collar, or the collar can be removed so the concrete can be poured to the top of the box’s metal plate. Both methods are acceptable.

Is there a different base plate for Carpet or Tile applications! Is it required? Will the terrazzo base plate kit (FP-CTR) work for carpet or tile?

Thank you for your inquiry. FPBTCXX (XX = desired cover finish) flanged Floorport cover is recommended for carpet or tile finished floor surfaces. This cover would sit on the surface of the carpet or tile. FP-CTR is only needed for when the finished floor surface is bare concrete, polished concrete or terrazzo.

What weight capacity can this floorbox support on top of it? Also same question for the evolution series 4 gang cast in place. This is specifically for a concrete floor on grade where rolling carts may be pushed over the floorboxes
Hi,
Per the current catalogue the covers for the RFBA4R30OG are rated for a 750 pound static load. The covers for the EFB45S-OG would have a 300 pound static load rating. Neither have any rolling load data testing.

Are the RFBA floor boxes made in America?
Hello. This specific box, RFBA4R30, lists Mexico as its country of origin, while other boxes in the RFBA series do list the United States. We do new car dealerships. Is there a floor box / cover suitable for vehicle rolling loads?

Which cover would you use for a polished floor. No carpet or tile
Hello. For polished concrete applications, you can use any of the flanged FloorPort covers listed for that box. Please be sure to include the FP-CTR Bare Concrete and Terrazzo Ring, and follow the included installation instructions. Thanks!
