How do I remove to paint raceway cover?
Hello. The base and cover of the 500 series raceway cannot be separated, so the cover would need to be painted while remaining attached. To paint the steel raceway, first sand the surface lightly with fine 180-grit sandpaper. Then apply primer on the surface and paint the raceway, using only oil-based enamel paint. Thanks!

Are bushings required and are they included with 5 ft sections
Hello,
Bushings are not included with each 5ft section but they are available separately as part# 502. Our installation instructions simply show and require the ends of the raceway to be deburred. That being said, the NEC requires that surface mount raceways, such as our 500 and 700 series, are installed without subjecting the wires to abrasion. The 502 and 702 bushings are intended for that purpose, i.e. to protect the wires from abrasion at the ends of raceway sections. Therefore, we recommend using the 502 and 702 bushings even though it is not required per our UL listing.

Why isnt there a 45 deg inside elbow available for the 500/700 series?
Hello. Although the only elbow fittings in the 500/700 series are 90 degrees, we do have a Flexible Section Fitting for other types of turns and obstructions; the part number is V5700F. Thanks!

Is the V500 a two piece design? Can the cover be snapped on over the base after installation?
Hello. Although the 500 series raceway is made with a base and cover, they are not separated even in installation. Part numbers V5703 and V504 are two types of mounting attachments used to install the raceway. Thanks!

Can a 12" piece of the 500 series be installed on the floor towards the wall and up to a receptacle? There is a floor box in the concrete and I want to move the outlet to the wall, just 12" away.
Hello. The 500 series raceway is only intended for wall mounting. For the application you described, we'd recommend using a low profile overfloor raceway, such as our 1500 series. That series includes an adapter fitting, part number V1517B, to transition from the overfloor raceway to 500 or 700 series raceway at the wall. Thanks!
