Hello, The RFB2 has been discontinued and replaced by RFBA2R30. Neither box includes the cover, but they accept the FP series Floorport covers. Thank you

I am homebuilder, looking at the RFB2, RFB4, or EFB45s floor boxes with flush covers, 2x outlets and data port, what extra bits will be needed for a complete setup? setting in wood sub-floor, 2-3/8 and 1-5/8 flooring thicknesses.

Asked by: Tyler
Good Afternoon- The RFB2 and EFB45S are good for wood floor systems, but not the RFB4. The RFB2 series needs to be installed from the floor below and screwed into the underside of the plywood sub-floor. The EFB45S can be dropped in from the top. The issue becomes the flooring thicknesses they have. They are designed for 1 1/2" subflooring with carpet padding or , 1 1/2" subflooring with 1/4" [6.4mm] underlayment or tile or linoleum floor covering. These requirements represent the maximum floor thickness to ensure enough cross section is available for the box to lock into the subflooring. Our CRFB may be the only solution with chiseling out the wood. With this application it maybe best if you call us at 844-957-3783 option #2. Please see link for the CRFB cutsheet and installation instruction. https://legrand.webdamdb.com/directdownload.php?ti=55654850&tok=TI3wYLi3s15QBBcoWYgIsARR https://legrand.webdamdb.com/directdownload.php?ti=55645653&tok=tFub0kWtq9Fsk2VdsCRQ6wRR
