Can this box be used in concrete floors?
Hello Ken,
This box is designed for use in wood floor construction.
880S1 stamped steel or 880CS1-1 cast iron single-gang floor boxes should be used in concrete. The cast iron box can be installed on ground level (on-grade) concrete floor construction. 880S1 can be installed in upper concrete floor construction that's not considered fire rated.
