Questions & Answers

is there a recommended product in the market that would work with the on-Q system? Now that Legrand discontinued the IC7001W without a replacement

Asked by: Brasheed
We do not have a recommendation on products not manufactured by Legrand. No third party modules exist to our knowledge that work with the OnQ Intercom system. At this point it is advised to search the internet and talk to your distributor for replacement intercom systems. The OnQ intercoms used Cat5 wiring to connect them, so there should be more than enough conductors available to install most intercom systems. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by the product line discontinuation.

I have install an On-Q system about 6 years now and have 5 IC7001WH that failed, if Legrand discontinue this product what is their recommendation for me to replace these pieces.

Asked by: Brasheed
Unfortunately the system was discontinued and Legrand/OnQ does not have a replacement system available. Please reach out to your local AV Integrator or Security Installer to look for replacement options for your system.

There is very high demand for this product in our area. System was show-cased in a parade of homes but no-one can find it. Can you please tell us where we can purchase this system?

Is there any way to connect the Selective Call unit (particularly the door unit) to a hub, to enable triggering of some automation?

Asked by: Casey
There is a door release dry contact on the 8 location distribution module that you could attempt to use for that purpose. You would need to enable the Door Release A option from Installer Setup on any of the existing Intercom Room Stations.
