Gather all Required Tools

Outlet and tail that come together
Lid (if using)
GFCI protected circuit
Suitable conduit for the installation
Armored cable stripper
Wire stripper
Anti-short bushings (5/16” female grommet)
Suitable ½" cable connector
2 ¼ hole saw

Step 1. Prepare the Countertop

Start by double-checking that the countertop thickness is between 0.50" and 1.6"

Determine if you are installing the device with or without the optional decorative lid.

For installations with a lid, you will need a 2-1/4" hole saw.
For installations without the lid, a 2"-hole saw is used.

Step 2. Wire the Tail

Safety is paramount: always turn off power at the service panel before beginning.
Strip the cable sheathing to expose 3.5 inches of insulated conductors.
Connect the wires to the proper terminals: (Green for Ground, White for Neutral, Black/Red for Hot)
Torque the terminal screws to 14-16 inch-pounds for a secure connection

Step 3. Final Assembly

Once the wiring is complete and the tail cover is replaced, insert the outlet body into the hole.
Hand-tighten the nut from underneath the counter, then use pliers to turn the nut a final 1/2 turn to secure it.
Align the post and insert the tail into the body until you hear a "CLICK", indicating the snap feature has engaged
