The outlet included in this kit can be swapped for another, correct?  Like to a surge protecting outlet?

Yes. The outlet is a standard outlet inside of a normal plastic box. It can be swapped with something else. Be mindful of the number of wires you place in that box that you don't exceed it's fill limit.

Our products are designed for residential applications, but this would work in most any drywall, controlled environment . What is it's intended commercial use?

Yes, it's a standard gang box. You can put any outlet in the box. I actually installed a recessed single outlet.

The outlet box does not allow for conduit connectors, How do you use this product with conduit

Hello, Unfortunately this product is not designed to function with conduit or conduit connectors. It's mean to work with standard gang boxes (or work boxes) with direct wire connectivity. We do apologize for the confusion. Thank you.
