Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works - requires the same model for multi-way I found these worked well. I didn't realize at first that the second multi-switch must the same model, not another model or a simple 3/4 way switch. I also found that the switch didn't work well w/o adjusting the time settings. The switch would either conflict or run into a race condition where both switched switched "off" at the same time and it sent both switches into a non-functioning mode - button didn't work at all. Resetting the switch (manually) or via a power-off, and power-on (breaker) appeared to reset the switches, and both would work once, and then go into a hung mode. Adjusting the timing of the switches via the documentation so that they were not using the default times from the factory, caused both switches to work great. I have not tried to connect the white wire to make the light work yet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This switch does not operate correctly. This Adorne sensor switch is poorly engineered. This sensor switches activates randomly throughout the day and night. I have replaced the “automatic” sensor switch twice, and they all randomly switch on and off. How can a reputatable manufacturer market a switch that does not even operate correctly?

Questions & Answers

Can you temporarily disable the auto off if light is needed to stay on? Sometimes I need the auto off disabled to have light remain on as Im climbing down an attic ladder that’s inside closet with this switch.

Asked by: Walter
You can manually override the sensor function by pressing the ON/OFF switch on the device. The unit will default back to the sensor function after the given time delay. There is no way to permanently disable the sensor. I hope this helps!

I have a ASVS12 with a blue & white “signal wire” attached and coming out of the back and a ground wire coming off the bottom. The instructions show only a ground wire coming out of a hole. How are these wired?

Asked by: Stefano
The Blue/White striped wire is meant to be connected to a neutral wire.

The regular 4-way switch from Adorne has 02 terminals ("IN") and 02 terminals ("OUT"), while the ASVS12W4 has four terminals ("03-WAY", "HOT", "WHITE", "1-POLE"). How do I use one of the ASVS12W4 to work in a 4-Way installation?

Asked by: PlKa
You need one of the ASVS12W4 wired as a Master, HOT, LOAD connected to 1pole, traveler wire to 3way and optional Neutral to White terminal. Both auxiliary's are wired the same: one traveler to the 3way terminal and power to HOT. 1pole is not connected and Neutral is optional
