Questions & Answers
Is there an option in the configuration that allows the photocell to dim the fixture but not turn the fixture off (like set a minimum dimming level above 0%)? Customers think the fixture is broken due to the photocell keeping the fixture off.
When configured for Dimming Mode, the LMLS-500 will not switch the fixture off—it only dims the light output to maintain the desired light level.
DLM LMLS photosensors can be configured in four modes: Switched, Bi-Level, Tri-Level, or Dimmed.
🔹 Switched – Turns lights fully on or off based on daylight levels.
🔹 Bi-Level – Provides two output levels (high/low), often occupancy-based.
🔹 Tri-Level – Adds an “off” state after an extended unoccupied period.
🔹 Dimmed (Continuous Dimming) – Continuously adjusts light output to maintain a target light level. When daylight increases, the lights dim; when daylight decreases, they brighten. The minimum dim level can be configured so lights never turn completely off.
If lights are turning off unexpectedly, confirm the device is set to Dimmed Mode.
