Questions & Answers
Can the FS-PPV2 be powered ON with a 230V/50 Hz? Our assumption is it can be powered ON. Our requirement is power ON this power pack with 230V/50 Hz AC, and use the 24V (out) to power ON the occupancy sensor FS-705.
The Wattstopper FS-PPV2 Fixture Power Pack is designed for input voltages of 120V, 277V, or 347V at 60Hz. Unfortunately, it does not support 230V at 50Hz.
Using the FS-PPV2 with a 230V/50Hz power supply could lead to improper operation or damage to the unit. To safely operate the FS-PPV2 in a 230V/50Hz environment, you would need a step-down transformer that converts 230V to one of the supported voltages (120V, 277V, or 347V) at 60Hz.
Alternatively, consider using the Wattstopper FSP-211 or FSP-221 sensors, which can operate at 230V/50Hz and might be suitable for your application.
